Two Friends on a Mission
Suzie Herrmann, a practicing Herbalist and Visionary behind Herbal Autonomy, and Dr. Brenden Witte, a Naturopathic Doctor, formed a lasting friendship in 2019. Over the last 6 years the two have bonded over their shared values: reverence for nature and for natural & holistic medicine. They also share a passion for freedom, self-sufficiency and service to others. Dr. Witte, along with his partner Dale, lovingly shepherd 17 acres in the North Cascades, and take care of 3 adopted children. While Suzie has been a shepherd of the land in all of her residential rentals, as well as a volunteer with Urban Abundance's various resilience gardens in the Pacific Northwest.
With these passions and shared values, the two first created Cycle Sisters Apothecary in the fall of 2024. This herbal products business still operates today and focuses on herbal medicine to support women's menstrual cycles and hormones.

Now the two are expanding their product line and services with Herbal Autonomy.
The two hope to empower individuals with both knowledge and natural remedies to help people gain autonomy and agency over their own health and well-being. They hope that by empowering individuals in this micro way, a greater healing on a macro level can begin to take place for humanity and the planet as a whole.
About the Founders
Suzie Herrmann
Suzie's journey in holistic health began in the kitchen, where she worked as a private and commercial health food chef from 2011 to 2021. She then transitioned into Business Development and Marketing for a Natural Medicine Clinic & Wellness Center, gaining extensive knowledge about natural modalities and mindfulness to whole-person health from colleagues and mentors, including Portland's top Naturopathic & Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors and body workers. She is now a practicing Herbalist and entrepreneur. A passionate gardener, hiker, and backpacker, Suzie is deeply inspired by the natural world. She also enjoys cooking for loved ones, creating art, seeing live music, and enjoying life at home in Portland, OR with her partner Luke and their cat Shannon.
Dr. Brenden Witte, ND
Dr. Witte, also known as Dr. Bowtie for his
signature accessory, is a highly regarded
physician specializing in holistic healing and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. He is the Founder and Medical Director of IVitality, a clinic and wellness center with three locations in and around Bellingham, Washington. Dr. Witte focuses on hormonal balance and overall well-being, using therapies like infrared sauna, cryotherapy, IV therapy, and BHRT. Passionate about women's health, he has dedicated his career to supporting hormonal harmony. Outside
of work, Dr. Witte enjoys camping, hiking and
living on 17 secluded acres in the North
Cascades with his partner, Dale, and spending time with his 3 adopted children.
